Bucks County Council service review of household recycling centres.

The need for this has come about because savings have to be made so that we can keep to our budget, and expenditure on this service has to be reduced. At the same time, it is extremely important that we maintain the quality of the current service, which gains very high approval ratings from residents.

I'm also announcing a public consultation, to begin soon, so that I can get as much insight as possible into how Buckinghamshire residents- as users and taxpayers- think the household recycling centre service could be changed.

I would ask you, as soon as the consultation begins, to encourage members of your community to let us have their views.

Please see below the press release that has been issued today. To find out more, please go to the web page www.buckscc.gov.uk/services/waste-and-recycling/hrc-service-review, and if you have any specific questions, please email me at bchapple@buckscc.gov.uk

With regards,

Bill Chapple OBE, Cabinet Member for Planning and Environment
