Rose Avenue Parking Restrictions Bucks County Council Consultation
Posters like this one have gone up around the Rose Avenue estate to advise residents and other road users of a public consultation exercise on proposed new parking restrictions.
Bucks County Council want your views on the proposals which will add further double yellow lines, along parts of Rose Avenue whilst also creating passing places for traffic.
Concerns have been expressed about the area near the Rose Avenue Recreation Ground and Hazlemere Youth Club which has been used as all day parking, mainly by school students, which has created the danger of vehicles meeting each other head-on on the wrong side of the road. It is hoped that by providing 'tuck in' passing places this will reduce the risk of a serious accident. The opportunity has also been taken to invoke the Highway Code's intended protection of corners of side roads.
Further along by the small parade of shops and outside the Manor Farm Schools, further restrictions are proposed on safety grounds and to prevent the roadway being blocked by traffic.
The consultation period will close on Friday 1st September, thereby allowing some additional time above the statutory minimum period of 21 days, to take account of it now being the school holiday period.
The consultation documents have been uploaded to the 'Have Your Say' page of the County Council's website and can be found under 'current consultations' via this link http://www.buckscc.gov.uk/…/council-and-demo…/have-your-say/
