Setting up a new business can be really easy with our Business Start-up Course

For the past three years Red Kite have given local residents the opportunity to come to our Business Start-up course to learn how to set up their own business. It was a resounding success and a number of them are well on their way to establishing fantastic local businesses. Thanks to how well it has been received, we are pleased to announce that we are running another course in September 2018. This is a fantastic opportunity for any budding entrepreneurs, and we are now accepting applications!

The course will give you all the skills and knowledge to turn your business idea into a reality. You’ll learn:

How to research the market

How to raise the finances to get started

Who to ask for help

How to write a business plan

How to manage the risks

What to do about sales and marketing

How to overcome the barriers that prevent a business starting up
The course is free of charge to anyone who lives locally, although
priority will be given to our customers. It will start on Tuesday 25th September over 8 weeks, with different workshops covering how to set up your own business.
At the end of the 8 workshops you will then have an opportunity to pitch your business idea to our esteemed panel of judges. If you
impress the judges, you will receive funding to help you get your business up and running! We have set aside a pot of £6,000 to award to the businesses with the most potential.

We are holding a taster workshop on Tuesday 25th September, at our offices:
