Fly tipping in the south of Buckinghamshire including in Penn

Transport for Buckinghamshire (TfB) is aware of an increase in the number of fly tipping incidents across Buckinghamshire in recent weeks, particularly in the south of the county. To date, there have been 27 incidents in the last week. It is the same material being disposed of in the middle of the road each time, indicating that these incidents could be being carried out by the same person/people. Buckinghamshire County Council Fly Tipping Enforcement Team is currently investigating the situation.If you are a witness to illegal fly tipping, dumping or waste disposal, or think you might have some information that could help, you can report this at https://www.fixmystreet.buckscc.gov.uk/

Watchet Lane, Little Kingshill

Road Closure commences at a point located outside junction of Windsor Lane and continues to a point located outside Kingshill Farm, a distance of approximately 279 metres. The alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure will be via Windsor Lane, Heath End Road, Spurlands End Road, Watchet Lane. Windmill Lane, Widmer End

Temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Windmill Lane, Widmer End, which commences at a point located outside no 86 and continues to a point located outside no 88, a distance of approximately 86 metres. The closure is required whilst Cadent Gas works take place and it is anticipated that the works will commence on 13 August 2018 and will take approximately 5 days between 00:00 and 23:59 each day to complete.

A Buckinghamshire law firm £10,000 nomination fund supports local charities and projects that are aimed at delivering positive social impact and improving lives. Grants are available from £500 – £3,500. As long as the organisation nominated fits one of the objectives below, there are no restrictions on what the grant can be used towards; it may be for general costs, purchasing equipment or to support a community project. Who can be nominated? Registered charities or voluntary and community groups whose beneficiaries live in Buckinghamshire. Organisations that have previously received a grant from this fund are eligible to be nominated again.

Upper Lodge Lane and The Warren Maintenance Works

Transport for Buckinghamshire will be undertaking highway maintenance works to Upper Lodge Lane / The Warren, Hazlemere. The micro surfacing preparatory works in Upper Lodge Lane / The Warren are also scheduled to commence in late July 2018 and it is anticipated they will take up to 1 day to complete. The work will be carried out utilising a daytime road closure.

The total budget for long term improvements across the whole Buckinghamshire network is almost £30 million for this financial year. This mainly covers road and footway resurfacing, but also includes investment in bridges, streetlights, drainage, safety schemes, parking, safety barriers and traffic signals. TfB is responsible for over 3200km of roads across the county, as well as the bridges, footways, streetlights, traffic signals, bollards and gullies that keep the highway functional and safe. Maintaining this valuable and vast asset requires long term, strategic planning that balances day-to-day maintenance with longer term improvements.
